Right down to the wire, but here it is, dear
estei!
Birthday fic, just for you and hot of the presses.
Happy, happy, happy birthday! And thanks for all the wonderfulness you bring to my life!

Title: Gift
Word Count: 1500 or so
Summary: "You're the damndest kid, Sammy." (a little preseries schmoop)
Unbeta'd, which means I have no one to blame.
Summary line stolen from It's a Wonderful Life (because I am, indeed, a sap) The Philadelphia Story, because my memory, she is LAME. Standard disclaimers apply.
This has been kicking around in my folder for a month or so, undergoing endless tweaking. (Poor words. I never let them catch a break).
It's been beta'd by my ever faithful trio, Faye, kaly, and Tyranusfan, but as usual, I played with it quite a bit after they sent it back. (Isn't that sad, that I need three for not even 2000 words? Thanks, guys, for putting up with me).
It's not a companion piece to Until the End of the World, exactly, but they are kind of flip sides of the same coin. Hope and triumph vs. hopelessness and the expectation of loss.
Anyway, enough rambling.
Gen, as always.
Word count: 1595
Spoilers for AHBL 1 and 2
Summary: There are fewer days left than they can count on one hand, and Dean understands: this is his wake.

Title: Everyday Heroes
Characters: Sam, Dean
Summary: What is the measure of a man? Sometimes, it's found in the midst of epic struggle. Sometimes, it's in the spaces in between.
Disclaimer: All SN things bright and beautiful, the Kripke made them all.
Notes: With gratitude to
faye_dartmouth, who is anything but superfluous, and to
kalyw, whose constant nagging encouragement not only helped this along, but spurred a spin-off fic of its own (Through the Eyes of a Child).
ETA:
kroki_refur has written another brilliant tale that captures the reactions of some of the folks below after events that happen in the future: Blood and Wine are Red.
ETA #2:
dolimir_k has written a follow up on Annie, my favorite OC. Sweet and life-affirming and EXACTLY what I'd envisioned when I wrote the original scene. Go read Saving People!

Title: As Night Comes On
Author:
geminigrl11
Rating: PG
Characters: Sam, Dean
Summary: They have spent a lifetime raging against the dying of the light. And now . . . they will go gently.
Warning: Gratuitous deathfic
A/N: With apologies to: Dylan Thomas, Walter Savage Landor (title is from his poem "Death of the Day"), my one-and-only
faye_dartmouth, and to you, gentle reader, for inflicting this on you. All I can say in my defense is that I got an image in my head and it wouldn't go away until I wrote it.

Title: No Rest for the Wicked
Category: Gen; drabble
Characters: Sam, Dean, John

Summary: There were more important things that needed doing. There always would be, until they found It.
